Syngas' Future
During 2011/2012 Syngas secured new majority shareholders/cornerstone investors at a crucial time for the Company.
Post the December 2011 placement Syngas’ Board and management team have reviewed how to make more transparent and capitalise on/extract value from the Company’s past investments and achievements, within the current business environment. New pathways and additional opportunities to re-invigorate and grow the Company have been and continue to be assessed.
Clarification and the separate profiling of the progress made developing the Renewable/clean power generation, supply and sale business, led by the Bomen Project, taking a multi-project approach where a number of specific opportunities have been identified, resulted in the release of the BioSyngas Pty Ltd Information Memorandum in June 2012. Positive market response regarding this offer has now materialised into a potential cornerstone investment in this company, subject to funds receipt. These funds will be used to significantly progress BioSyngas towards a cashflow generating position.
In relation to Syngas Energy Pty Ltd, the wholly owned Syngas subsidiary where the Company’s above ground clean technology based Coal to Liquid projects are being developed, renewed/revived levels of global economic growth and/or Middle Eastern centred political instability are expected to play important roles in the further interest and the securing of the significant investment required to progress this business. The Company has developed specialised and valuable Intellectual Property which remains untapped at this time. However Syngas Energy Pty Ltd remains well positioned to proceed and specific pathways and partnerships have been identified which may provide the way forward.
Appropriate projects supported by parties with the capacity to contribute funding will continue to be assessed in relation to their potential fit within/progression within Syngas. The Company is in a position to progress additional projects or businesses in conjunction with or separately to BioSyngas Pty Ltd and Syngas Energy Pty Ltd.
